What To Expect

When you come to the field wear comfortable clothes and check the weather just in case some rain is forecast. We always give field updates on social media to let our guests know what’s happening on site. We provide gallon buckets to pick and then transfer berries to a bag for you to take home. Once home, rinse your berries to remove leaves or debris caught while picking and enjoy them fresh from the field. To freeze, remove small bits of plant or leaves from the berries (we spread them out on a cookie sheet and then separate berries from bits we don’t want to freeze) and place unrinsed berries in a freezer bag and pop in the freezer. Not rinsing your berries preserves the natural protective coating that prevents freezer burn. It’s easy! Blueberries really are a user friendly fruit!
